I graduated from MSU last saturday. There were thousands of people at graduation which was crazy but fun. We wear such weird gowns and hats at graduation. I always feel weird.
Yes, I love college. It is an incredible experience to live on your own and be entirely responsible for yourself. I cook and clean my own apartment, I live with one of my best friends, I have a job that I set my hours for and I set up my own schedule and classes. It's a lot of freedom and a big step toward growing up and gaining independence from your parents. I have made life long friendships at school and learned so much. I absolutely love my majors (linguistics and Japanese) and I have met so many incredible professors. I live close enough to home that I can visit my parents whenever I want but I also live really close to my fiance. We have to have 122 credits to graduate so I was lucky to finish school early. I took college classes in high school and during the summer so I could graduate a semester early.
I think I learned who I was in college. My faith in God became much stronger. I also became much more outgoing and decided my plan for the future. Of course, my fiance and I met while I was in college and we are getting married next week!
That's kind of hard that you haven't found any good friends within your major at school. I'm surprised because I would have guessed you would find people who like the same things you do. How are things with Yang Ming? Have you still been talking a lot with him?
I still can't believe I am getting married on the 20th! It's so fast. All of my extended family is flying in from Florida this weekend. I hope they don't freeze!! Michigan is so cold lately and we have had a lot of snow.
